More about Covid related cancellations
We all know and understand that as of 2020 travel is not what is used to be. And nobody knows what to expect for the future. So first of all, we have adapted our standard cancellation policy. And secondly, we have added special conditions with respect to Covid-19 situation.
We have contemplated various scenarios and adapted the cancellation conditions accordingly. Let us know if you have any questions or are unsure what happens in which cases. We try to be as fair and flexible as we can be, so these are the general guidelines for the cancellations, but they are not set in stone. The insecure nature of the times we live in, calls for us to be flexible and react rapidly to changes in the situation. But we also want to make sure that everyone knows what to expect in worse-case scenarios. So feel free to talk to us whenever you like to discuss this further.
Cancellation due to Covid-19 lock-down
If you have to cancel due to official mobility restrictions or lock-down:
- More than 15 days before arrival date: cancellation free of charge.
- Between 15 to 8 days before arrival date: the down-payment will be retained, and a voucher (valid for one year) will be offered to the guest.
- 8 days or less before arrival date: 100% of the booking amount.
If the situation is insecure in your area two to three weeks before arrival, and you are not sure whether you will be able to come, give us a call and we will talk about how to proceed. Depending on the situation, we will make other arrangements for you. Our intention is always to find the best solution for all.
Cancellations due to positive Covid-19 test
If you have to cancel for testing positive for Covid-19 or being in quarantine because of direct contact with a person with Covid-19:
- The standard cancellation policy applies.
These are the standard conditions:
- More than 21 days before arrival date: cancellation free of charge.
- Between 21 and 9 days before arrival date: 50% of the booking amount.
- 8 days or less before arrival date: the full booking amount is payable.
If you cancel within the 21 night mark, but we find another client for the same period, we will (partly) refund your down-payment in accordance with the price paid by the new client, with deduction of 45€ admin fee. If the new client books with a discount, you will get a partial refund.
